Mix and match

A music installation intended for Roskilde festival that utilizes the users’ musical preference in order to create a collaborative experience that would also present the upcoming artists in the music scene. The design aimed at increasing social sustainability in music festivals, i.e. bridging social capital, while accounting for different user identities.

This resulted in an inclusion of music of different genres that would be explored by all audiences. In conjunction with the festival liminoid structures, the collaborative aspect of the installation became a centerpiece of the design, as interaction between people, who have never met before, becomes common at music festivals.
